SGA30A is an instantaneous safety gear, which adopts the clamping structure of roller + wedge block. Its working principle is that when the speed limiter issues a working command to the safety gear, the roller of the safety gear moves along the guide mechanism and moves on both sides of the elevator. The contact of the guide rail produces friction, and the guide rail is clamped to stop the car and keep it stationary.
When working, the SGA30A safety gear can stop quickly, which also causes it to fail to ensure the safety of people and goods in the car. So it is often used in the use of low-speed elevators.
